Mr. Saif Ahmed Santo is a Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, IUBAT - International University of Business, Agriculture, and Technology, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in 2021. Currently, he is pursuing his M.Sc. in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), with his primary research focus on the earthquake resilience of underground structures.

In addition to his academic journey, he has prior experience working as a Lecturer and Course Coordinator before joining IUBAT. Furthermore, he served as a Research Assistant at the Bangladesh Network Office for Urban Safety (BNUS), gaining hands-on experience with sophisticated equipment such as the Shake Table and Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS), which he utilized for various research projects.

His research delves into critical aspects such as Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Slope Stability, Finite Element Analysis, and Disaster Management. Mr. Santo has published several research articles in internationally reputed and indexed journals and conferences. Proficient in using diverse Finite Element Analysis (FEM) software and Geographic Information System (GIS)-based tools, he brings a practical perspective to his research. As he continues his pursuit of a Master of Science degree, he is passionate about acquiring knowledge through research and practical work to share with his students. He remains dedicated to making tangible contributions to geotechnical engineering, particularly in enhancing infrastructure resilience against earthquakes and effective disaster management.
