Mr. Matiur Rahman Raju joined the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) Green Campus in January 2022 as a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Dean’s List Honors from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, in recognition of his outstanding academic performance. Additionally, he earned a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and Building Technology from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, under the prestigious Swedish Institute Study Scholarship (SISS). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering at BUET, specializing in Structural Engineering. He has also served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

His research interests include enhancing building and resilience assessment techniques for sustainable development. His work focuses on experimental techniques in structural engineering, mechanical properties of materials, composite structures, numerical investigations, structural monitoring and assessment systems, structural retrofitting and renovation design, and subsoil investigations. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Engineers of Sweden, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Swedish Institute Network for Future Global Leaders (SI Network).
