Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Halim

Dr. Md. Abdul Halim has been working as a Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering at IUBAT—International University of Business Agricultural and Technology, Bangladesh since October 2018. Professor Halim completed his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester, U.K. in 1982 under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan. Professor Halim completed his BSc in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1970 and secured the first position in his batch. He completed his MSc in Water Resources Engineering from BUET in 1975.

Professor Halim joined the Department of Water Resources Engineering, BUET, as a Lecturer in January, 1973 and retired from BUET as a Professor in October, 2008. Then he joined the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and served there up to October 2017. He has a good number of papers in his credit published in national and international journals. He served as a consultant for a good number of projects of the country. Professor Halim is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB).
